Dr. Bilimoria is the J.B. Murphy Professor of Surgery and System Vice President for Quality. He is a surgeon, researcher, and Founding Director of the Illinois Surgical Quality Improvement Collaborative. He has published more than 350 scientific articles, including numerous first- and last-author publications in JAMA and the New England Journal of Medicine. Dr. Bilimoria’s research is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), Health Care Services Corporation, and numerous others. He was recently listed by Becker’s as one of the “Top 50 Experts Leading the Field of Patient Safety” in the U.S.
